Yesterday I hurt my lower back/butt. Yes I include butt in there because it is most likely my sciatic as well as my lower back. It all started out not last night but the night before--Hannah came and got in our bed and then 2 hours later Olivia came and got in our bed. I was on the very edge of the bed for at least 4 hours so I know that is what started the aggravation. Then just doing daily chores and being a mom I thing that all of it combined ended up really messing my back up.
By 7:00 last night I was miserable!! I got the heating pad out and downed 8 ibuprofen and vegged out on the couch for the rest of the night. I ended up sleeping on the couch (it was much more comfortable) but when I woke up this morning--holy Helen Keller (oh yeah Brittany--that is one of my fake swears I forgot about)--I felt like a little old lady!! The pain was so intense I could hardly bear it!! I am now walking around like Quasimodo and feel like TOTAL crap!! This really SUCKS!! Seriously--I can hardly walk or sit down. This is so stupid--I don't have time for this crap!!

Jillene, I can completely empathize. But I won't.
Just kidding! I developed lower back problems in college, where I could barely bend over. I've thrown my back out a couple of times too. It's not too bad anymore, but when I have Adam give me backrubs, like any good husband should, I have him push really low, like on my tail bone. It's a hard area to work on.
It is a hard area to work on! I had each one of my kids walk on it yesterday--which helped some but I need some deep tissue stuff. I think I might have to go and get a professional massage--don't you think?
Jillene, unless you think it's only muscle problems I'd go to the chiropractor. You would really be surprised what a good one can do. I've been to both bad and good.
I'm sorry you feel so horrible! I know what lower back pain feels like. But now I get it in my upper back and neck that gives me massive headaches and migraines. I go to the Chiro 2-3 times a month and I've noticed a HUGE difference. Even if your only going for this one visit, it's fine. I'd make sure you didn't have something out of place with your spine.
What sad news to read. I hope you start feeling better soon.
My family also sleeps three or four to a bed every night, I wake up with an aching neck every morning.
I'd like an update, though. With whatever you do and when you start feeling better. I worry :) (see! I could be a mommy, mommy's worry, right?)
So sorry to hear about your back. It is so hard to get anything done when you feel like you can hardly move without pain. Hope things begin to improve soon.
Yuck. Hope you feel better soon.
That is not fun! It seems that every muscle in your body feels suddenly attached to the part of your back that hurts. And then every move you make hurts your back. I hope you feel better soon!
Am I the only person who cannot read/hear "Not last night but the night before" without having to sing "24 Robbers came knocking at my door!" ???
(as I ran out, they ran in, hit 'em in the head with a rolling pin!)
Sorry you're back's hurting. Take care :)
Lisa-
I ALMOST put that in parenthesis!! Everytime I read it I sing that!!
Everyone else-
Thanks for your concern! I'll keep you posted! (0:
