Today was the day. The real first day of Kindergarten. I had sadness and joy as we were walking over to the school. When we got there, I walked her to her class line and then it hit. My baby is going to Kindergarten!! Now some will argue that she is not my baby (Tina) but let me just say...all 3 of my kids will be my babies until I die and then forever after that. She looked so grown up and excited. The bell rang and I was a mess! I was trying to hold it together as well as possible because I didn't want all of the other parents to think I was a big fool. They all kept asking me if this was my first to send to school--nope it's my second but it is still very emotional for me. I am sure they left thinking "what a fool". She went into the classroom and Mrs. Michaelis shut the door and we had to walk home--without her.
Olivia was NOT happy that Hannah got to stay and she didn't. She cried the whole way home saying, "I want to go to pre-school!!" I kept telling her that she can't because she won't potty on the toilet. When we got home Matt put her on the toilet and she sat for about 30 seconds and said, "I don't like this. I'm done". She's never going to potty train!!
I am so proud of Hannah. She is such an amazing girl. She is my luvy, snuggly, always wanting a hug and a kiss, and always saying I love you at least 20 times a day girl. She has a tender heart (imagine that) and she is a beautiful girl. I love you Hannah!!

I wish I had Hannah's hair. :)
I'm kind of glad to not have a kindergartener this year. That whole back and forth thing can get really old. However, as you know, my break won't be for very long. I'll be there this time next year.
Awww! I sent my little guy to Kindergarten today, too. This is his second try so he was an old pro getting on the bus this morning. All he really cared about was making sure his hair looked good. He requires lots of gel :)
Kristina-
Promise you don't! She has naturaly curly hair so in order to get it like she wants it I have to blow dry and flat iron it!
Christa-
Yea the back and forth thing is a real bummer! I really wish we would have all-day Kindergarten!
Torina-
I love that he wants his hair to look good! That is so funny!
Don't worry, you still have a couple more years till Livvy, that will be the hard one! Then again, maybe you will be like Rebecca and love that you can go grocery shopping all by yourself without any "helpers".
I can't wait for my kids to go to school. More time for blogging!
I remember pre-school... I loved painting with the edible paint... whatever it was. Probably pudding. My teacher was named Mrs. Mia. My favorite thing was the life size play doll house.
She will have so much fun. And you won't help but not cry when she comes home and talks your ear off about her friends and the edible pudding and the life size doll house and Kalob is the cutest boy in class and he sat by her....
Save her stuff. I still have mine and it's fun to see how horrible at painting I was.
Whitney-
Yeah--she talked my ear off and still is (she got home at 11:15). I always save all of my kids things. Matt thinks that I am a pack rat--but only with their precious things!
Mary-
It is a good thing when they start school! But when it is Kindergarten it is kind of a nucence (I am sure I spelled that wrong) because it only lasts for 3 hours.
Hannah looks lovely and so happy to be there. She's beautiful
