High Blood Pressure Medication - $25.00. Excedrine Migrane Headache - $10.00. Stupid Drivers - Priceless--No, Not Really. Just Stupid!

I have been wanting to post about this for a while but today just seemed to be the perfect time. I HATE stupid drivers! The sad thing is that they all pick up children at my kids Elementary School--EVERY ONE OF THEM!! The school has a round-a-bout drive through with one side designed to park on and the other side for through traffic. NO ONE seems to get that you cannot stop or park on the side that is for continuous moving traffic. There are even signs that say, "No stopping or parking on this side". Still doesn't help. There is obviously only one driveway to get in and out and the stupid people park on the street and leave the back end of their car in the driveway--thus blocking all traffic.

Then there are the ones that pull into the round-a-bout and honk, and honk, and honk, and honk their horn. Uuuummmm....I know that my son knows the EXACT sound of our horn so what a great strategy to get your kids attention as to where you are--DUH!!

Everyday I go to the school and everyday I leave pissed off at all of the stupid, idiotic morons that have drivers licenses. Who gives these people permission to drive? What are they--blind? Maybe they are just morons themselves--morons giving morons drivers licenses--PRICELESS!!

It's called entitlement.

I am by no means a perfect driver but I am telling you that the drivers at the elementary school over here should lose their entitlement--forever!!

I pretty much only get bugged when I am over at the school--it really is crazy over there. People have no common sense. Matter of fact, just now I saw someone almost run over the crossing guard and then honk and swear at him (he is in 6th grade).

OH Jillene!! you hit it right on the nose... I had the EXACT same thing happen to me yesturday when I picked up Zach. See, I am one of the rare parents who actually park their care and walk the 10 feet to the door while the other drivers PARK in the round-a-bout that says "NO PARKING AT ANY TIME". I keep thinking, am I the only one that can read? or is it because I am from the west side I don't think that the "no parking" sign is intented for everyone BUT me.

I have a serious problem with people who do not use blinkers. Seriously... I mumble/yell/talk under my breath every single time.

Ok so I have you all beat!! Today I went to get the kids, and the gosh damn principal wouldn't let me pull into the round about. She made me go park down the street and walk up to get the kids. Problem?? 25 cars were parked in the round about. OH but did they have to move, hell no! And did it matter that there were like 20 open parking spaces in the parking lot around the round about, oh no. I was so mad, I yelled at her. I told her to go yell at the idiots that park there for 45 minutes waiting for their kids. It should be a "round about". You drive through pick up your kids and drive out. What the hell?

PS. OH yea, I'm all about the movie. See it's not too hard to influence me... you all are very evil, and wicked influences!!

Bobie-
I would have yelled at her too! That is crazy!!

I am glad that you will be joining us for the movie! I better watch out because Billy won't let you hang out w/me and my evil influences anymore! Don't tell him how wicked and evil I really am or we'll be in trouble! (0:

Whitney-
I have issues with people who don't use their blinker too. One of them being my husband--he drives me crazy!!

I may not be the greatest driver in the world (family members say i drive like a Gramma, but my Mom's a gramma and she drives FAST so hmmmm) but I am a stickler about following the rules of traffic!!! There's a roundabout smack dab in the center of our town. (My husband designs roads, so he actually master minded that project) Seemed like the perfect solution to the traffic problem. Little did anyone know how idiotic the drivers are around these here parts.

I think everyone forgets the laws of the road. After taking drivers ed now for the past 5 years and going onto my 6th year, it is amazing all the things and laws I have forgotten. This is my thought, I think everyone over the age of 25 should take a refresher course. It might help with all the crazy drivers out there remember the laws and also help with the new laws, or the laws that have changed. I know it has made me a better driver.

I don't even try to attempt to go to the school to pick up the kids in the car. It is faster for them to walk home or if I really needed my kids it would be faster to walk over grab them and walk home considering I live 6 houses away.

Jami-
The only reason why I pick him up is because of the whole kidnapping thing. There was an incident just yesterday in Provo and the 10 year old boy was walking home (he lived close too) and some man tried to lure him into his car by telling him his mom was in the hospital and he needed to take him to her. Scary!!

I usually walk to get him when the weather is nice. I walk them to the school in the morning too and then I walk over to get Hannah when Kindergarten is over.

I guess I am a paraniod person like that--I want my kids to be safe and I know for a fact that there are several registered sex offenders that live in our area--one actually lives by the school.

I never complain about drivers anymore, not since I lived in China. It's utter chaos over there. Traffic lights are only suggestions and they use their horn as a turning signal. I think Bob Costas, when he was covering the olympics said something like "New York City cab drivers would pee their pants when they got a load of the Beijing traffic."

Mary-
That is the way it was when I was in Venezuela. I have never been so scared in my whole life! I couldn't get back on the Cruise Ship fast enough!

Jami-
I forgot to say that you are lucky because Jessi and Jake can walk home together. Zach dosen't have anyone to walk with so that is another worry for me.

Also--I love the idea of a refresher coarse in Drivers Ed! What a great idea!

Yippe for living ONE BLOCK from the school- my kids walk or ride scooters (thank goodness for crossing gurads).

We have a problem with parents just stopping in the road, letting the kids jump out when people are trying to pull out from parking spaces(which they block) or keep driving (they swerve around them into on -coming traffic) or stoppipng at stop sign. How is this safe for hundreds of kids on the street and sidewalks?

Hey! What happened to the comment I left? Must have gotten lost in cyber space. Now I don't remember what I said. Mostly that I agree with you about the crazy/rude school mom drivers.

I'm with you on the driver issues. I often wonder if many of the parents at school can read themselves as the signs seem to do no good.
