A Bit Better, A Canning We Will Go & Shaving Legs

I was feeling a lot better this morning. I took some muscle relaxers (man--they are a dream come true) and then a friend of mine suggested that Matt rub out the knots with a baseball (thanks for the great idea Kristen!). That baseball did WONDERS!! It hurt like a mother sucker but it really, really worked!

I went and did my stint at the Cannery this morning at 10:00 a.m. I feel very blessed that I got an easy as pie job and the time went by so quickly. We canned Loganberry Jam and it smelt SO GOOD!! It is really amazing how great it feels to serve. The Spirit confirms to me every time I serve that it is the right thing to do and I know that because I gave of myself and my time I will be blessed.

I felt great after the Cannery. I didn't hurt, I didn't feel tired, nothing. I came home and jumped into the shower. My legs desperately needed shaving so I got to it. I did the left leg first--no problems. Then I put the right leg up to shave and HOLY HONKIN' HELEN KELLER I hurt my back again!! I felt this strange popping/crackling and I knew it wasn't a good thing. It is not as bad as yesterday but it is hurting again. GREAT!! I guess I should have "Julia Roberts" it with the hairy legs but for crying out loud I have to go to Church on Sunday and sit in front of the entire Relief Society. Oh well. Back to the drawing board! Looks like more muscle relaxers and rub-outs with the baseball coming my way!!

I'm glad you found something that works! A baseball, a spoon, a hand, a hammer-whatever!

I bought a pair of knee high heeled boots this winter because.. well, the winter's here are horrible and I have all open toed shoes for church. But, I find that the boots work GREAT when I haven't shaved my legs. May be time to invest in a pair, my friend.

Nylons work, too. But I hate those things.

This is why I don't shave. I'll let you feel my legs in a few weeks. They are like Julia Robert's armpits.

Oh man! I was all happy for you, feeling like you were all blessed for going to the cannery. But then, you had to go be vain, and pow. Just teasing, I really hope you feel better soon. Maybe go see a chiropractor?

AT least you have sexy smooth legs. Who cares if you back hurts? It's is better to look good than feel good.

ha ha just kidding. Hope you feel better soon.

Whitney-
I have a pair. And I HATE nylons/tights!! I NEVER NEVER wear them (except to the temple).

Kristina-
You are kidding right? I really hope your not a grizzly bear! (0:

Jo-
Yea-I know being vain is hard to do! (0: Thanks for your concern. I think that if I am not felling better by Monday I will have to call a Dr.

Bobie-
You got that right sister! Thanks for bringing me some stuff last night! You're the BEST!!

Jillene, I am kidding, sort of. In the winter, when I wear pants a lot, I don't shave as often, but probably once a week. Not horrible.

Kristina-
I knew you were!! I am the same way in the winter--I only shave on Saturday or Sunday because I have to wear a dress. Not horrible AT ALL!!

So sorry about your back. Hope another round with the baseball and some muscle relaxers helps. Maybe you can try shaving by sitting on the side of the tub? Maybe it will put your back in another position.

Holly-
Thanks for the idea! I will be trying that next time I shave my legs--which might not be until next Saturday. hahahaha!! I wish!! (0:

wait a sec...i am behind...so you still haven't gone to the doctor? GIRL. sounds serious. i hope it's not.
as for shaving alternatives:
i get THICK STOCKINGS because i always pull runs in the panty hose/ nylons types.
i don;t even care that they're probably "out of style"...i SET trends, i don't follow them. (yeah right)
holy honkin' helen keller???? yeah, i'm stealin' that line. i almost fell out my chair over that one.
i can't wait to use it, and i'm gonna tell everybody i just came up with it off the top of my head cuz i'm awesome like that. ROFL

You've helped me make up my mind. I'm swearing off shaving my legs for sure now. I recently suffered the same injury while shaving my legs. Enough is enough. It's just too dangerous to continue.

Katie-
I am glad that I have provided you with a new fake swear. And by all means take credit--I won't mind (too much). (0:

Christa-
Yeah--I think that leg shaving is of the devil. Maybe if we both swear it off, more and more women in the ward will too and we can become a shave free ward (Diane Paxton is already there)--we would be quite the attractive bunch of gals! It would go right along with all of the bra/boob issues we have in our ward too!! SWEET!!
