Finally My Turn To Pick

Usually around my house when we get videos my husband always chooses or we end up watching something he would like. His type of movie is a shoot em up, cops and robbers, robots invading the world, kung fu, and a little bit of comedy thrown in the mix. Don't get me wrong--I like those kinds of movies too but...sometimes a good chick flick thrown in the mix is a good thing. He never wants to watch "chick flicks".
The last 2 weekends he has left it up to me to choose. Last weekend we watched "What Happens in Vegas". I love this movie! I laughed and laughed. I laughed so hard I cried--Oh wait--I cried anyway towards the end. This movie is hilarious!! Ashton Kutcher was down right, laugh so hard you pee your pants funny! I loved the part with the popcorn. For those of you who haven't seen it--I won't ruin it for you but for those that have--HILARIOUS right?!?!
This past weekend after the birthday party was all said and done we watched "Baby Mama". It wasn't as funny as "What Happens in Vegas" but it had it's funny parts. Amy Poehler was great and made the show. She was down right hilarious!

So I am pleased to say--2 chick flicks in a row. I am on some kind of roll or something. Now if I could just get him to watch "Moulin Rouge" or "Wedding Date" with me I would be one happy camper!
*I love "Moulin Rouge" and "Wedding Date". They are 2 of my favorites--if you couldn't already tell. I also wouldn't mind it if he watched "Pride and Prejudice" with me--I have never (don't hate on me) seen it and after all of my friends and blog bff's have raved about it I think I should see what all the whooplah is about.*

And yes--I really do love that movie. Really, really I do--don't hate me because of it. I am still a good person--I promise!

I loved Baby Mama. I was pleasantly surprised, as I thought it would be lame.

And What Happens In Vegas made me want to poke my eyes out, just by watching the commercial, so I haven't seen it.

I too recently rented both baby mama and vegas I thought baby mama was a lot funnier.
P&P is REALLY good I bought a bootleg copy of it in China for two dollars. You really should watch it if you have a spare 15 hours (it's not that long but you'll want to rewind parts and watch over again the longing looks Mr. Darcy gives Miss Bennet.

Kristina-
Cameron Diaz drives me crazy but this really was a funny movie. My friend actually conned me into watching it--she actually brought it over. I never thought I would watch it but I did and was pleasantly surprised at how funny it really was--just like you with Baby Mama!

Oh yeah--did I mention that my hubby actually liked both movies?

Only bother with Pride and Prej if you can get the good BBC version... Colin Firth and all. It is only 6 or so hours long- so don't let him talk too much. You might miss something really important.

I haven't seen either of those movies. I guess I wasn't planning on seeing Vegas, but I have been really wanting to see Baby Mama. I'll have to see What Happens in Vegas now because you think it's so funny. :)

We watch way more "dick" flicks than "chick" flicks at our house too. I enjoy them for the most part.

I think I'll put those on my list for this weekend. I've been looking for some good chick flicks and looking for something funny. Hope you get to watch P&P at some point, it's wonderful.

Those of you that watch the movies I want to know what you think of them!

Angela-
I can't watch Steel Magnolia's--it kills me. I have emotional issues and the crying during that movie just about does me in! (0: I have seen it once and that was enough! maybe one day I will watch it again!
