Do I Have To?

Last night Zachary was feeling a bit under the weather. He was fine all day until we got to my mom's and then he had the runs. He went to the bathroom about 20 times in the 2 hours we were there. I started pumping him full of Imodium--the miracle medicine (if you haven't tried it--do so and it will become your new best friend).

He kept telling me that he wasn't going to be able to go to school in the morning and how could he go to school and have to "go" every 5 minutes. I told him that everything would be just fine. As he was going to bed last night he again reminded me that he might not be able to go to school in the morning. I told him to get to bed and the night-time fairy would come and make the diarrhea go away. He rolled his eyes and went to bed.

When he got up this morning he insisted that he should probably not go to school. I asked him when was the last time he had gone. He said last night. I told him to get to eating breakfast and we would see what happened. Can you guess what happened----NOTHING!! I made him get dressed and brush his teeth--still nothing. I made him put his socks and shoes on--still nothing.

I told him to get into the car--still nothing. I dropped him off at school--guess what?!?! Still nothing. When I picked him up from school today he was so excited. He had a substitute teacher and it was a man--best thing ever! The sub let them do their Math homework in class--best thing ever!! He was the coolest sub he has ever had. See what you would have missed if I would have kept you home from school today? The best day ever!! *Am I the best mom or what?! Oh yeah--still nothing!

I'm taking notes from you.

And I think I might have figured why there is a flagellant bunny in his picture in the post above:)

I'm sure this it TMI, but sometimes, I will have to pee like every 5 minutes. It's delightful!

Kristina-
Not TMI--I am open to any and all conversation! But really--have you had that checked?

Jillene!!! Your post is a day late! I wish I had known about this medicine the other day when I was living on the toilet.

Mary-
I am so sorry!! I LIVE by this medicine. Matter of fact I buy it in bulk at Costco. I ALWAYS have it on hand!

Please don't tell Que about that medicine- that's how I stay home from work all the time. Sometimes I just gotta stay home to watch Dr. Phil. Or maybe I should just get a DVR.

(I don't really like Dr. Phil.)

I won't tell! We all have to have a day off once in a while--sick or not!! I am SOOOO glad that you included that you really don't like Dr. Phil--he drives me CRAZY!!

Stick to your guns. You probably see that my son was whining over a hang nail (lead to the broken window) to stay home. Ugh.

And really, what is up with Dr Phil's eyes? They get more beady and tight every time I see him. Yikes.

Ramona-
I have to stick to my guns at least 10 times a month! He ALWAYS wants to stay home for lame reasons!

Yes--the eyes. He must inject them with Botox.
