The Things We Do For Love

Last night I decided to make Matt some Tapioca Pudding. It is his favorite and I figured that since he worked 13 hours and rode his bike 10 miles he deserved a nice treat. I haven't made it in quite a while so I forgot how much work it is. First you have to mix the tapioca, sugar, egg and milk and let it sit together in the saucepan for 5 minutes. Then you turn the heat on medium and bring it to a boil while stirring continuously. On medium heat, and while stirring, it takes FOREVER to come to a boil!! I hurt my back last week and let me just tell you that standing at the stove for 40 minutes didn't help my case!

I had the pudding all ready and cooled by the time he finished eating dinner. When he came out of the kitchen I thought he would have a nice big bowl of the delicious, slaved over pudding. Noooo....he sat down and said he'd get some later. I was kind of heartbroken. I worked so hard. Butthead!! He finally did get some and ate it but never said it was good or thank you. Oh...The Things We Do For Love!!

I can't stand tapioca. It's the texture. Same thing with coconut. I like the flavor, but not grated coconut.

And yes, he was a butthead.

I don't like it either. I don't like any pudding or custard. It is also a texture thing for me. It always makes me gag! I don't have any problems with coconut--actually I love it!

Thanks for the validation! I needed it!

You should have called, I could have sent Billy over. I know he would have said Thank You.

1. He's not married to you, so it's polite to say thank you.

2. I have NEVER ever made him Tapioca pudding, and it's his favorite!!!

You were so thoughtful and I agree he was a butthead. You were so good. If he'd been that way with me I may have just had to pitch it in the trash.

I also don't like it for it's texture and don't really even like to look at it. it's what I assume fish eggs would be like if added to vanilla pudding. Ick!

Yuck! It was gross but at least I tried it.

Ooo. I LOVE tapioca pudding. Make it for me next time. I'll say thank you and maybe even wash your dishes!
