Kindergarten Assessment

Hannah got to meet her Kindergarten teacher today. Her name is Mrs. Michaelis and I really liked her. She had to take the assessment test and she did SO WELL!! I was a proud Mommy! Mrs. Michaelis kept saying that she was really impressed and that she couldn't believe how well Hannah was doing. First of all--she is a smart girl and second--she will be 6 exactly a week after school starts (she missed the deadline last year by 8 days). I think that Hannah will be successful in Kindergarten. I am excited for her to start--too bad it can't be all day (she really needs it).

This picture is a typical Hannah pose. She always makes this face when she is posing. The picture on the sidebar is a real geniune smile. She is beautiful regardless but I love the genuine look!

She is a really pretty girl! It's exciting to have one of the smart kids. Well... I can only imagine. I just speak of having a genius nephew who can sound out every letter of the alphabet and is starting to read. He's 3.

Needless to say, we are not going to compare our children to him. lol

Glad things went well, hoping for a very successful year for her.

Whitney-
Hannah just cut 10" off her hair too. I cried and cried.

Holly-
Thanks so much! Right back at you!

What a beautiful girl! Was it Hannah that I made bows for when she was tiny? Sheesh, time flies! I just remember seeing those darling tiny sprigs of pony tails and I knew that I wanted to make her some tiny bows! I love the sprig ponies!! She just has good hair!! (And it smells good too!)

Michelle-
Yes--Hannah is the one you made bows for. Matter of fact I still have them and I try to put them in Liv's hair but she wants no part of it (unless it's her idea)!

I remember the first Sunday you brought her to church. Her name was announced, but being the smartie that I am and because I have a niece named Anna, I thought that's what they said her name was. Then, for the longest time after that, I called my niece Hannah. Similarity confuses me. Has it already been 6 years?

She'll benefit being the older kid in the class. Experience always goes a long way. It is too bad that we can't have all day kindergarten at our school. Maybe we should start rallying for it.

I thnk we should rally for all day Kindergarten because I am sure that when Liv is old enough she will be ready for all day too.

It would be good for Avery too--well and for us mom's but I think they have a greater learning potential if they are there all day.
