The Countdown Is On

11 years ago today I was getting ready for my Wedding Dinner. When we got engaged and chose a wedding date Matt's dad gave him $1,000.00 to pay for the tux's, flowers and the dinner. We got the tux's for a great deal and we got the flowers through a great friend of the family who did them for her wholesale price. When we were trying to decide on a place to have the dinner we were having a difficult time because #1- We were on a tight budget and #2- Matt's dad was a vegetarian at the time. Since he gave Matt the money, his dad decided that we needed to have the dinner at Golden Corral. Ummm..not my choice but he insisted since he was paying. When we got there, and she was starting to ring everything up Matt was getting worried that he wasn't going to have enough to pay for the dinner. His dad said he wouldn't give him anymore money so I told my dad and he stood there with Matt in case he needed extra. Luckily he didn't but I am really grateful to my dad for doing that. It ended up being a really great night and everyone seemed satisfied with the food.

Then we headed over to the church to set up tables and chairs for the ceremony and luncheon. We didn't get married in the temple but we were sealed 1 year later on the exact day (more on that later). Then it was off to home to endure the most sleepless night of my life.

I can not believe it has been 11 years. I remember going thru the temple with you and you thinking "Matt" would never come along. Now your married and a mother of 3!!! At times I'm envious but know my turn will come some day. I remember your wedding day and what a beautiful bride you were.
