I live with a bunch of slobs! My husband is a slob and so are all of my children. We have a dishwasher that is located RIGHT next to the sink. They all wash out their bowl, plate, cup, etc. and then....They. Leave. It. In. The. Sink!! What the heck? I am NOT a maid! I tell them repeatedly to put their dishes in the dishwasher but it is like I am talking to the wall. Is it really that hard? I don't think so but apparently it is the hardest thing ever for them! I am really tired of walking into the kitchen and seeing a sink full of dirty dishes! It is really frustrating!!
I also have issues with shoes and socks. Matt comes home form work, sits down, takes his dirty, STINKY socks off and then just leaves them on the floor! UGGGHHH!! My kids are always taking their shoes off and leaving them in all sorts of stupid places and then expecting me to find them. HELLO--I'm not a psychic! How should I know that you took one shoe off in the toy room and the other one in the kitchen? I really need to get off the venting this month! I guess I am a little more emotional/ornery than usual. Sorry to all!

you make me laugh!!! I totally understand what you are saying.. Jim will finish a carton of ice cream (yep, eats it right out of the carton ...gross..) and he will put the empty carton on the counter where I am not kidding about two inches below is the garbge can... Not only 1 but 2 garbage cans!!!!!
Oh my! Matt eats the ice cream straight from the container too! I have to get some before him otherwise it is tainted! I have the same issue with the garbage can too. It is right in view, everyone knows where it is yet the garbage ends up in the living room or in the sink of all places! Crazy!
I've told you that Ryan will bring up garbage from the basement (candy wrappers, etc.) and walk them over to the kitchen counter, place them there and then walk away. I've watched him do it and even said, "Are you kidding?" He'll say, "What?" all innocently. I'll turn and point to the garbage can which is a mere 4 feet away. "The garbage can is right there and yet you chose to put this garbage here." I then turn and point back at the offending garbage on the counter. He never makes the connection.
Love these stories. Billy will tell the kids to make sure they take their plates from the table and rinse them in the sink.... YET, he NEVER does it. So at least they all make it to the sink!! Why are men so "dense" when it comes to these things.
