Matt has been into making Chocolate Banana Shakes. I think that they are more like smoothies because he blends them to death (I would prefer it more chunky like a shake but I guess I shouldn't complain since he makes it). We buy the Dreyer's Slow Churned Ice Cream--it has 1/2 the fat and tastes just as good. Then he adds a banana, chocolate Ovaltine and a little milk. At first I thought--gross. Ovaltine in a shake--not a good thing. For anyone that has never had Ovaltine it is not smooth like other chocolate drink mixes. I kind of has balls and chunks. I thought I would be biting into a chunk of straight Ovaltine and that was disgusting to me. Matt made me try it and guess what?! I LOVE IT!! They are so yummy! He doesn't use any measurements he just throws everything in and it is SOOO good! And another plus--no chunks of Ovaltine! Now I can't wait for him to break out the blender because I know what it means--Chocolate Banana Shakes (more like Smoothies) for everyone!!

No, no, no! If you notice mine--the ice cream has 1/2 the fat and the ovaltine is also good for you. It is full of all kinds of vitamins and minerals and NO fat. And bananas are good for you too. It is a treat that I don't feel so guilty about. I am on a quest to lose (I'll never divulge the exact amount I need to lose) a lot of weight. Having babies and toxemia had made me "fluffy" to say the least.
I can gain a pound just by taking a really deep breath. Silly that you were scared of this. Remember how the blender "blends" things up? They sound delightful. I have a blender and Matt is welcome to come over and whip one of these babies up anytime.
1/2 the fat always means that I can eat twice as much! Oh yeah! Bring it on baby!
