Kids Say The Darndest Things

I really meant to post about this a couple of weeks ago but my mind is not so keen anymore and I kind of forgot about it until this morning.

A few Sundays ago while we were at my parents house Zachary was on a roll with wisecracks. After we finished dinner we all went outside so the kids could play. First, the neighbor across the street has 2 goats--yes I said goats. They got out of the backyard and were trying to come over and eat my mom's flowers. Zach decided to chase them away on his scooter. Once he got them back in the neighbors yard he came riding back over and said, "Boy, those goats have some pretty big ol' butts." It made me laugh really hard because it really wasn't their butts that were big--it was their bellies.

Second, Olivia wanted to show everyone a special trick. She ran over to the grass and jumped up and then ran back. She thought she was really cool and we, being supportive of her creative genius, were all clapping. Not Zach--he looks over to all of us and says, "Wow--that was a show stopper!" Ummm....I almost peed my pants (literally) I was laughing so hard. He is quite a funny kid!

Your kids are adorable! They just take pleasure out of the smallest things.

Can't wait until they get older and you have to buy them the newest $150 pair of shoes.

Oh beleive me--Zachary already wants all the expensive Tony Hawk and FOX clothes/shoes/hoodies etc. And of course they are all spoiled (that is why I always look like the garbage lady) so they pretty much get what they want.

It's funny how kids forget they used to do the same silly things their little brothers and sisters do. And yes, what Olivia was doing was a show stopper.
