First Day of 4th Grade

Today was the first day of school. Zachary started the 4th grade. Wow--where did the time go? He had a new teacher so we knew nothing about him/her. When we got to the school this morning one of his old teachers, Mrs. Wood came out and said hello to all of the kids and told me that it was a woman and she is very nice. I was relieved to say the least. Her name is Miss Gustaveson. She let those of us mom's who stayed come into the classroom. She has great taste--the room was very modernly decorated and I was very impressed. She was very nice and seemed to warm right up to the kids.

I hope for Zachary that this is a good year for him. I hope that he gets a long with his teacher and the students in his class. This will be a little different for him because his 2 best friends are both in 3rd grade. At our school the Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders have recess on one side of the school and the 4th, 5th and 6th graders are on the other side. He has friends in the 4th grade but he says it will be a little different. He is such a good and nice boy so I am sure he will have no problems.

Good luck this year Zach! I am very proud of you and I love you!!

Love that I'm not the only one taking pictures on the first day.
