Teaching To The Unwilling
It will be my turn to teach Relief Society on fast Sunday. I have been really thinking about what to teach to the sisters. I think that last Sunday solidified the topic of choice. I am going to teach about the importance of callings--no matter what they are & no matter what age you are. Every calling is as important as the next. Our Prophet doesn't say, "Well, I'm in my 80's and I have served for so many years so I guess I'm done now and all I can be is a visiting teaching supervisor". Obviously he can't be a visiting teaching supervisor but you get where I'm going. Just because we have reached a certain age or just because we have had that calling 4 other times already, we still need to serve where we are needed. I hope that the sisters in my ward take this lesson to heart so we can fill much needed positions in the ward with no problems!!

AMEN!!
I'm so glad that you plan on doing that. I hope that you get through. We seem to have a lot of REALLY obtuse people in our ward. Honestly, who do they think you would possibly be talking to? Oh yeah, duh! Them. Not the people two wards over. I hope a good healthy dose of shame works.
