The Meanest Mom EVER!!
Apparently I am the meanest mom ever. The reason why is because I made my kids clean the toy room, the downstairs hallway and the stairs. I went to go downstairs and it was like an obstacle course because there was so much crap on them. I tried to get into the food storage room and it was just as bad in the hallway. I decided to look into the toy room and low and behold it looked like a bomb went off in there. I decided that they needed to get it done today--no if's, and's or but's. When I told them at 11:00 a.m. Zachary said, "Can I take a rest first?" A rest from what? He hadn't done anything all morning. I told him no and he started to cry. HELLO--you made the mess now you get to clean it up. Hannah was just plain not helping at all. Zachary came up to tattle on her so then she got in trouble and she started crying. It was a cry fest at our house this morning!! They FINALLY finished the toy room at 12:30 so I decided to let them stop and eat lunch. Zachary is just now vacuuming the hallway and bottom stairs. They are done at last!! Why does it always have to be so hard?

My kids always act like it causes them physical pain when they clean. They don't ever get that if they would just zip their lips, stop whining and clean, they would be done in no time flat.
My kids do the same thing. We have to go through an hour or two of complaining before they start cleaning. Then their day is over and they get mad at me. Someday they will learn to keep things clean and life would be so much easier.
