Dyed Hair, 2 Dinners and Lunch With Grandma

Today I had my mom dye my hair--o.k. cover up the gray. It looks great and I love the color. While we were doing hair, we also made to dinners to take into a family friend. She had surgery 2 weeks ago because she had tumors on her ovaries. One was the size of a softball and the other was the size of a baseball. She has 5 children ages, 8, 6, twin 4 year olds, and an almost 3 year old. Her husband is a school teacher and does summer drivers ed. She is still in a lot of pain and her ward has only brought in 2 crappy (according to her and her husband) lasagna dinners. We decided to make 2 separate meals and deliver them today and my sister-in-law is taking a meal over on Thursday. That should hold them over for the rest of the week. She was grateful for all of the food and for the fact that she wouldn't have to cook. I know that her husband can probably cook somethings (I know for a fact that he is an expert at Tuna Helper--YUCK!!) but it is always nice to just be able to sit and relax and enjoy a meal that you don't have to cook. I really hope that she feels better soon. After that the girls and I took my mom out to lunch. Of course we had to go to one of my favorite places (NOT) Carl's Jr., but we did have a good time spending the day together.

Sounds like a very busy day. I'm always very appreciative when someone brings my family a meal. It helps so much. Carl's Junior isn't my first choice either. Their commercials ruined it for me. Watching and hearing someone eat their food and having it drip all over them is not my idea of appetizing.

I am always grateful for people to take time out of their busy schedule to make and cook food in your time of need. They will be blessed for it in the end. It also feels very good and satisfiying when I am able to make a meal for someone else.
