Who Wouldn't Want One Of These Too?

I'm talking paper cuts people. I currently have on one my finger and one on my lip. They are fantastic little buggers! What with the constant throbbing and pain every time you talk--it is a dream come true!! Who wouldn't want to feel the stabs of pain every time you wash your hands and the soap gets into the paper cut? Who doesn't want to wince every time you get salt into the cut on your lip? Who doesn't want to try wearing a band aid on their finger but the cut is in such an awkward place that it just falls off? Who doesn't want to feel endless stinging in their lip because they apply chap stick but it accidentally got into the paper cut? The joys of paper cuts--everyone wants one (or two)!!

I love them. I also love things that feel like paper cuts. Like when you have a cold and your eyes water excessively. So, you keep wiping and wiping at them. Eventually making the outside corners of them all chappy and cracked. That feels really nice.

I have to agree because I have the I thing, but only the right. I am sorry that you are hurting right now. I bet you caught it on everything. That is the worst. I just want you to know I feel your pain.

My son got a paper cut two weeks ago, and he howled and cried like his life was ending. Then he made me put a bandaid on it every time he washed his hands (because it would fall off) for a whole week. For two days, he didn't even use his left hand at all! I guess I know how he feels though. They are no fun!

When I worked at a Court, I started out as the File Puller for the judges. There is nothing like getting multiple paper cuts from file folders.

OH. MY. GOSH!! Tina--is that REALLY you? hahahahahahahaha!! You know I love ya!!

Christa-
I know that feeling well--I am trying to get sick right now and my right eye is a runny fool! Blah!!

Erin-
My kids will do that to!! One small cut or bruise and it's the end of the world!!

Lisa-
I know huh?

Brittany-
Aaaahhhh the filing! I used to be a secretary and the same thing would happen!

Tina never comments on my blog. Even though I'm nice enough to let her give my kids a ride home from school. All the time.

How in the heck did you get a paper cut on your lip? That doesn't sound fun.

oUCH! That has to be one of the most painful paper cuts I have seen. And I too would like to know how you managed one on your lip?

That makes me hurt just looking at it!

And by paper cut on your lip, do you mean herpes? It's OK. We've all been there. Well, except for me. I've never had a cold sore in my life.

Enquiring minds want to know. How did you get one on your lip? Is your hubby a paper doll and you were, erm... kissing him???
I hate paper cuts, the stinging is enough to drive you nuts.
There is a handy type band aid out there called the finger tip band aid, try it, you will like it.

FYI--I got the paper cut on my lip while licking an envelope. The ONLY time I have to lick an envelope is when I send Zach to school with lunch money--which I had to do yesterday. We were running late (of course) and so I was in a hurry--I licked the envelope and--slice--right into my lip!! Good times!!

Kristina-
Sorry to dissapoint but no herpes here!!

Christa-
I think she commented because I gave her MASSIVE crap about it. Maybe with your comment she will now come to your blog and comment. Wow--that's a lot of "comments" in one sentance.

Also--her days of giving your kids rides home are over--now it is up to me. Except yesterday they came up to my car and both just stood there and then Zach got in and they just kind of turned around and walked away. Silly boys--I keep telling them to just get in the car!!

I don't want one, sorry, I guess I'm the only one who doesn't really like pain.

I got one the other day too! Along with random bruises. Maybe it's the aftermath of the keg party that happened at my house on Friday.... Still feeling the effects.
(Just for the record. I don't drink. I wasn't even there. I had a sleepover instead of dealing with stupid drunk people)

Christa said...

I'm sorry my boys did that. We'll have to work on proper "taking advantage of someone to get a free ride" etiquette.

Julie-
I figured that you didn't drink and SMART move removing yourself from the drunken-ness!!

Christa-
They are FINE!! They are just funny. They should know by now that I don't care if they ride!!

I hate paper cuts. Ever gotten one from cardboard? You might as well break out the full fledged knife for one of those. Your lip? Haven't had one of those and hope I never get to share that experience.

No thank you. No paper cuts for me.
But why DO they hurt so much?

Whitney R said...

No fun! I'm sorry.

That's a deep one, though. What were you doing?

Paper cuts are just not right. Truly a sign of a cursed world (thanks a lot Adam and Eve)

BUT you can find a bottle of New Skin at the store that is like a liquid band-aid. It seals it up like super glue and hurts more than super glue...wait. Just buy super glue. It works great.

Wendyburd1 said...

Owww! Liquid Bandage for the finger...do NOT put it on your mouth, besides smelling SOOO bad (I put it on my nose when I sliced the edge...holy crap the smell) you have to remove it with nail polish remover! And the lip...what did you do to get it there?! Ow! Use ice maybe?

just looking at that sent chills up my spine. those are the worst. when it actually happens, it's such a SICKening feeling too. blech. i used to have this weird nervous tic where i;d chew the skin off my fingers...casuing that kind of pain 24/7 every time i washed my hands. once i had a cut and used antibacterial hand gel. YOWSA
