Really? REALLY!!

I helped Zach's teacher today so I was gone all morning. When I got home Olivia ripped her skirt off and showed me that she had on "big girl" undies. She told me that she pooped on the potty and I was THRILLED!! We needed to go grocery shopping and I wanted to put a pull-up on her. Matt said that we should be just fine, so off we went. As soon as we got to the store I took her into the bathroom and she peed--YEAH!! We did all of the shopping and went to the check stand. I was watching the checker (you know--so she doesn't double charge me or something) and Matt was putting the bagged groceries back into the cart. All was well.

Then I hear this little voice say, "I pooped". What the?! I look at her and say, "What did you say?" She repeated, "I pooped". Oh crap!! I tell Matt what she said and he says, "Uuuummmm....look." I look over by where she is standing to see little puddles of pee all over the floor. She didn't poop (thank goodness) but she peed ALL OVER THE FLOOR. We hurried and loaded everything up and then just left. We didn't say anything to anyone--we just walked out of the store leaving the pee right there on the floor.

Yet another reason I'm super excited about having children.

That is excellent. I wish my kids would poop and pee where someone else had to clean it up. Smart kid!

When my sister was little (she would so love that I am posting this on the Internet but at least I am not sharing the story where she sat on me and peed on my back because she would be SO embarrassed), she took a dump underneath the clothing racks at K-Mart. A nice perfect brown turd. My mom high-tailed it out of there just like you did. And we laugh about it to this day.

I can't wait to tell her daughter when she gets a little older, like three years old, so she can walk in mommy's footsteps :)

LOL. So funny. I would have just left, too. hahaha.

When one of my cousins was little they were in like a Home Depot and he sat on one of the toilet's on display and pooped. hahahaha, he brought his mom over and showed her and she high tailed it out of the store. SO FUNNY! I am also looking forward to this sort of thing. What great stories!

been there! done that! when we were potty training, we were on vacation and I ran out of pull ups so I put a little swimmer on, YEAH that doesn't quite work the same, my daughter peed twice at dinner sitting in a booth, I tried to wipe it up with napkins, but there was too much we threw the money on the table and booked!!

Did you really just leave it? I would never ever dare! I probably would have have offered to wash there entire floor. Poor liv! tell her I have her red, pink, and orange present!! Joyful days of potty training... I am so glad I am DONE with that!

I REALLY just left it. We all carefully walked around it like it was some fool spilt his drink or somehting. hahahahahahahaha!! I didn't even feel ONE bit bad about it either!!

My husband took the kids to McDonalds and this same thing happened, he too just left.
When it happens to me I ask for some cleaner and a rag and clean it up myself. Not because I'm nice or anything, I'm just afraid someone saw it happen and they'll tell on me.

At least she let you know that she did it so that you could avoid it and not slip and fall. Yeah, I've done that. Not at the store, but in the kitchen after Avery decided the floor was just as good as the toilet.

Wow! How great, one less mess for you to clean up at home! On a similar note, the Butterfly's g-tube was draining bile up and down the grocery one day...3 aisles before I noticed. I quickly left my cart (full of groceries) and left.

Mary-
No one saw--I checked and double checked!!

Christa-
That sucks! I am glad that Liv told me because I think I would have FREAKED out if I just saw it and her wet pants which would have attracted attention which would have meant me clening it up.

Holly-
I would have done the SAME thing!!

Ummm you left the pee?! LOL, nasty! You better hope no one saw you, so no one gets revenge ("hey Mack can you throw a loogie in the ladies cold-cuts? She let her kid pee on the floor and just LEFT it for me!").

Did I mention how nice dogs are, especially my Max? He peed on his special pee mat the first night we got him and he was only 12 weeks old. I love dogs.:p

First time commenter on your blog, Thou I read it everyday!
Sooo funny!
I 'm clad I'm not the only mom who has done this. Potty training my oldest, we went to Wal-Mart. She was sitting in the cart. And OOPS! A big puddle.
I just left. Felt horribly guilty, but neither my husband nor I wanted to tell anyone. LOL!

You’re so funny, can't wait for more.

I am shocked and appalled!

And I am sure I would have done the same thing. I remember my oldest puking in the store once, I don't remember what I did, it was too long ago.

Oh the joys of potty training! I'm getting so scared! Baby Boy is about 28 months and I can't stand the though of starting! Terror fills the heart at the thought!

I just found you, and I'm excited to begin blog stalking you!

Oh yes, we are going through the potty/poop training right now too. Fun fun. We've never had an accident of that sort on a grocery store floor, but my son did drop/throw a glass jar of jam onto the ground and SPLASH! It went everywhere.
