Yesterday I went on a field trip with Zachary and the whole 3rd grade to the Landfill. First we went on a bus tour of the entire Landfill. Oh man did it STINK!! I had to breathe out of my mouth for what seemed like forever!! But on a good note it was very informative and I personally learned a lot. The Landfill has a wildlife area that is really cool (and it doesn't stink) and they had a picnic table that was made out of 5,200 milk jugs. We then went inside and learned about reuse, renew and recycle. It really opened my eyes as to how important it is to recycle. Did you know that a plastic 2 liter bottle never decomposes and will last forever? But if you recycle it it can be turned into carpet. Very interesting. I am really going to try harder to be more conscious of what I can do to help reuse, renew and recycle. The kids actually had a good time and they learned a lot. When I was first asked to go on this field trip I was hesitant but I am really glad that I went. Not only did I learn a lot, but the most important thing was I got to spend quality time with Zachary!! I got to see what a great son I have (yes I am going to brag and I am proud of it!). He is kind and genuine to everyone. He is a good example to those around him. I am so proud to have such a GREAT son and I love him so much!!
