Barbequing Fool

Matt is now officially going to be a "Barbecuing Fool". I have made the executive decision that all dinners on his days off will be cooked on the grill. First--it tastes soooo much better and second--it keeps the house cool (and gives me less work [: ). I am really excited because I can now have one of my favorite recipes that I couldn't have with the old grill because it is a piece of crap. I thought I would share the recipe with you all. It is YUMMY!!

Dilled Turkey Burgers
1 lb. lean ground turkey
1/4 cup plain bread crumbs
1 tsp. dried dill weed
2 T. hot dog pickle relish
2 T. ketchup
1 egg
4 slices Muenster cheese
4 burger buns (I buy whole wheat ones)
4 T. purchased dill dip (I make my own)

Heat grill. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except cheese, buns and dill dip; mix well. Shape mixture into 4 patties. When ready to grill, carefully oil grill rack. Place patties on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4-6 inches from medium coals. Cook 13-15 minutes or until thoroughly cooked and no longer pink in center, turning only once. Place 1 cheese slice on each patty during last minute of cooking time. Spread dip on both sides of bun. Place burgers on buns and serve. *Note: To broil patties, place on broiler pan; broil 4-6 inches from heat using times above as a guide, turning only once.
