I don't know about any of you but I am really sick of picking out my own gifts for things like Birthdays, Mother's Day, Christmas, etc. Every once in a while Matt will surprise me and pick out something himself but for the most part I am getting my own gifts (kind of puts a damper on the celebration don't you think?). For instance--today I called Matt to tell him I was going out to find Hannah a new dress for her preschool graduation and he said, "That's fine and by the way get yourself a Mother's Day present". Boy--how romantic!! I wish that he would pull out the imagination and the knowledge he has of me and surprise me more often! Is that too much to ask? (Probably!) Oh yeah--Matt, I LOVE YOU!!
Just in case anyone was wondering--I bought myself a really cute dress for church, new shoes, a necklace, a bracelet and some earrings. He will also be paying for my ticket to go see the American Idol concert (I'm sure you are throwing up right now Christa (: ). Go David Archuleta!!

**Side Note: Maybe I am too hard on Matt because he NEVER could have picked out a dress for me and I really do appreciate all that he does do for me--but I would still like a surprise gift every once in a while. (: (hint hint)

At least you got something you'll actually wear and like!! But, I hear ya girlfriend, I love surprises, but now my suprises consist of spilled stuff, broken things, and mysterious odors (and what caused them)!! Happy Mothers Day Jillene!! Love ya Sis.
Ryan loves surprises. He thrives off of the whole "Cloak & Dagger" mystery that's involved in it. I'm on to him most of the time, but last night he got me. He gave me my Mother's Day gift early because he couldn't wait any longer. I've been hinting for months that I would love a set of knives like the ones Rachael Ray uses. Things like, "I really like thoses knives she's using. I wish I had some. Maybe someday." I didn't think that he was really listening because I've been saying the same thing about a 9mm gun for years and still haven't got one.
