City Park

Yesterday I went with Zachary and the entire 3rd grade on a Field Trip to the City Park. We (4 teachers, and 8 parents) walked with all 86 children over to the City Park. When we got there, the teachers had planned some fun games for the kids to play (capture the flag and freeze tag), and there is also a Basketball court and a playground. The kids had so much fun!! There weren't too many traumas (just a few--and most of those were VERY exaggerated) so it turned out to be a really fun morning. We all packed a lunch and sat in the pavilion to eat. It was really fun being around just boys. Usually I am at home with my 2 girls all day but yesterday I got to hang out with the boys. I must have made a good impression because they were all fighting over who could sit by me and who could walk next to me---boy, what an ego booster! It made for a great day! Oh yeah, can I just say how amazing the 3rd grade teachers are?!?! I wish Zachary could have these same 4 teachers for the remainder of his school days!! (:
