The Proof Is In The Puddin'

Here it is folks!! Here is what a little Barbie can do to a grown man.

This is the right side of the ankle. As you can see it took the hardest hit.

This is the left side. It is now swollen and starting to bruise.

This is the top of his foot. It is a little hard to tell but it is very swollen also and it reminds me of the Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man. My poor hubby!!

OH my gosh! Jillene, that's insane! I feel so embarrassed to post a picture of my stupid tiny little cut foot. That was nothing!

And I'm sure my husband would think these pictures were the coolest thing ever.

I used to like Barbies as a kid, but I hate them now! Evil Barbie that would do this to your husband :(

YEOWCH!!! That poor man of yours. I would suggest that you kiss it better but the thought of kissing feet makes me shudder.

Make sure he stays off of it for as long as they tell him too. My hubby didn't listen when he sprained his ankle in Iraq (with bruising up to his calf)...and he ended up having surgery 3 years later b/c part of the bone was damaged in the process and died!! Sprains and strains are the worst...take good care of him...and burn the barbies!

OUCH! I'd say Barbie won that battle. Hope it's looking (and feeling) better soon!

OMG!
is he admitting he got beat up by barbie to any of his guy friends? or is he claiming it was a g.i. joe?

I always knew Barbie was a evil sick masochist...Good thing I ripped the head off mine when I had the chance!

Who knew a tiny little humanoid doll could be so dangerous? Maybe she has been taking karate while you guys weren't watching. If they decide to have a rematch, please sell tickets, okay?
All kidding aside, that looks horrible, tell your hubby to listen to the doctor, so he can heal well.

Good lord! That looks so painful. Poor man.

As I am a walking pharmacy I would offer to send over my oxy that I got for a jacked up leg, but it's sort of illegal to send that stuff thru the mail. Here's to hoping you have a generous (with the pain meds because that looks beyond painful!!!) doctor!

I always knew Barbie had an evil side!

That looks terrible. Hope he's starting to have less pain.

Good side--his foot is famous in the bloggosphere!
Bad side, Barbie not only has dangerous curves but a wicked sence of humor.
Poor thing!
I've wrecked 2 ankles and I feel his pain! Ouch.

That is horrible. I hope he gets feeling better soon

Oh my. I am so sorry. That does look awful. And I know from experience that sprains and tendon problems can be much worse to heal than broken bones. Hope he does okay.

OUCH..just doesn't seem to cover it! I am sorry!

Oooouch!! It makes me hurt just looking at it. I've done that twice to the same ankle. It is so painful!!!

my daughter and i think you should of won, seeing this, and the fact that you just posted a comment right at 333, my favorite number and exactly 12 hours to the posting of the winners.....and, well, anyways, there should be a honorary mention. so, you get to be it. you and boy mom, who has, we think 7 boys, another favorite number of mine....so sorry about your husbands foot.

my question, is how's the barbie? ♥

Okay I couldn't even comment because I didn't want to look at the pictures, which is silly, I've looked at cadavers before. I've had that bruised of body parts before! But now I'm here. I felt bad for neglecting such a sad, sad foot.
YIKES!!!! And I'm still shocked that in order for ligaments to heal, they don't do anything but put it in a boot! Could you ask them why and blog about it? hahaha I'm such a freaking nerd!

I KNEW Barbies were dangerous ! HOLY COW!!!

burn the Barbie

So the question is how is the Barbie--she was fine. Just fine. She got whisked away rather speedily by H because I think she knew it might end up in the garbage. NOW--as for a few of my Fall decorations--they suffered a worse fate. I had to throw at least 2 away and I kind of didn't stop to check the rest. There very well could be more broken. BUT I would rather have the decorations broken than my husband!!

UPDATE: The bruising is even WORSE today than yesterday. The left side is now catching up with the right side. There is still A LOT of swelling and now his big toe is starting to bruise. I am so grateful that he is not worse off than he is....it could have been a lot worse!!

A BIG THANKS to By the Hair of My Chiny Chin Chin....she had a chocolate giveaway on her blog this week and she has picked a winner to be announced at 3:33 in the morning. The winner was NOT me but she is LOVINGLY giving me an honorable mention because of my week and sending me a chocolate package too. HOW SWEET!! THANKS MUCH!!

I appreciate all of you and your concern and well wishes. My husband does also as he keeps checking the comments too!!

OUCH! This reminds me how grateful I am that I don't have stairs! We've constantly got barbies lying around our house! :)

That Barbie--she is one vindictive babe...

Hope he's healing up quickly--that really is one of the nastier Barbie injuries I've ever seen...well, okay, it's the only Barbie injury I've ever seen...but it is definitely the worst....

Blessing!

OUCHIE! Boy the things a man does for their women to have their house so cute and festive!
POOR GUY!

Annette-
I know huh?! Everytime I look at his foot I cringe thinking that I was the one that asked him to take the box downsatirs. I feel really bad especially because he is still in a lot of pain.

Strawberry Shortcake said...

Good grief! That is one terrible looking foot/ankle. Yikes! I hope he heals quickly :)

Krissy said...

OUCH! Pain!!! OW! Although, I totally feel his pain right about now - I fell down the stairs yesterday. I'm sure my butt and hip and back will have some nice bruises tomorrow or so. But yeah, your hubster's is much worse. OOOWWWW!

UPDATE:
The foot looks even worse today!! the bruising now continues up his leg and onto his toes. It looks AWFUL!! I hope he is doing o.k. at work right now....better call and make sure!!
