I'm Back!!

I have been missing for several days. Several crazy, whirlwind days. I feel like I need 4 days straight of sleep now that this weekend is over. I am sorry that I have missed your posts. HONESTLY I have not even turned the computer on for 3 days. On Friday I had to get some Christmas shopping done before the kids got out of school, we got H at 10:10 and headed to do some more shopping. Then we headed off to Costco for grocery shopping, picked Z up from school, headed to Wal-Mart for more grocery shopping, dropped H off at a birthday party, off to more Christmas shopping, picked H up from party, headed to Jordan Landing, hit several stores, had some dinner and didn't get home until 9:00 p.m. I was EXHAUSTED!! Then on Saturday I decided to devote the entire day to getting my mom's Christmas present done. I make her a calendar every year of the grandkids. It took me 7 hours to do but it is done--YEAH!! On top of all of this, my husbands truck broke down so we have had to drop him off at work and pick him up. I am WORE OUT!!

Well--I was tagged by Lisa at My Stay At Home Momma Drama. I am supposed to tell you all 6 random, weird things about me. Here goes!!

#1 - I hate broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, peas, and corn. DETEST them. But I do like spinach, artichokes, asparagus, and eggplant.

#2 - I am kind of sort of a perfectionist and it drives my husband crazy.

#3 - I don't like to call people on the phone. If I know you really well it is fine but I don't like to call restaurants to make reservations, and I don't like to call people in my ward (other than my good friends). You would NEVER believe this if you have met me in real life.

#4 - I have a really sensitive gag reflex. It is a miracle if I can go an entire day without gagging.

#5 - I LOVE Christmas. I don't sleep well on Christmas Eve because the anticipation just about kills me. I love watching the joy and happiness on my kids faces Christmas morning.

#6 - I love to shop but not for me. I love to buy things for my kids and my husband but when it comes to me--not so much.

You are so cute!
I do the same thing on Christmas. I find that the build up is so exciting that The day of Christmas I sort of feel a let down after the presesents are opened. I don't want it to be over!
Does your necklace fit? I can always adjust it for you if you like.
love ya

Glad you are back! Sounds like you were busy. I agree with every thing except for #1 and #4 (I like those except for corn. I have never met anyone else who also hates corn :) I too DETEST talking on the phone. I don't know what it is, but it sends me into an anxiety attack. Stinks when it comes to VT!

So, numbers 3-6 are me completely.

I really hate talking on the phone. I don't hate talking...but on the phone is awful! I avoid it as much as possible.

Isn't sad how a little thing like LIFE can interrupt our blogging?! :)

I am looking forward to next week when I will have some days too busy to even check my e-mail. I actually love techno-free days.
Except for the truck breaking down part, sounds like a fun weekend! But I am glad you are back, and I finally remembered to post your award on my blog, and I really did like recieving that one because I do try to make sure my blog is about friendship and life and love and all the important things and if people like it, great, but its not about "readership". Thanks again!--Lisa

I was off line since Thursday, so dont' feel bad! We all have a life and have to keep up with it! I learned something about you and phones! And you know what, I'm totally like that too. I'd rather email than talk on the phone. I don't know why. I'm a weird bird, I guess. Have a great day.

I knew someone was missing! At least you've gotten a lot of shopping out of the way, right?
I can never sleep on Christmas eve. I set my clock for 5 AM so I can go check under the tree to see how many boxes I have.

It is really crazy this time of year! And I am totally with you on the phone thing. I just don't like talking on the phone.

#3 is me all the way too! Were you able to get all of your shopping done? We are finally finished...now all the wrapping!

I know exactly what you mean about the anticipation of Christmas! I love the anticipation which is why my hubby and I prefer xmas eve to xmas day. It is so cool to see the kids eye's sparkle with the excitement.

I can't wait!!! And I finally got a tree (not decorated yet - LOL), but I did get all my shopping done....which makes me soooo happy!

Much as I love you, I'm glad you were able to unplug for a few days. I think it's good for us all. I hope to spend quite a bit of the kids' break off line. There are a couple of things I want to post, but I don't want to waste that time I should be spending being a mom.

Hope the truck isn't too expensive to fix.

I LOVE Christmas, ans I think I have never slept a good night before EVER, even when I had just broken my leg and was stuck in a wheelchair. I adore it! The older my son gets the better it is as well.. You are very funny, and a little weird.. Me too :)

I try to avoid the phone too. You are really good about these tags. I think I'm going to tag you....J/K. I think I have missed a couple of tags. I don't even remember what I was suppose to do. I just gets so crazy!

Glad you're back!♥

I meant IT just gets sooo crazy! Well I guess I get crazy too.

You don't like corn? That's the one veggie I would eat when I was little.

I'm there with you on the phone calls.

And my gag reflex is bad as well. I've been known to carry a plastic cup in the car "just in case".

I never thought about making a calendar, what a great idea! Any tips?

Jillene said...

Keyona-
I but the calendar blank for Close to My Heart and then I scrapbook each month. I can post pictures if you would like--just let me know!!

I am taking a computer break next week! gonna be fun but hard

Jillene said...

It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I was very busy so my mind was pre-occupied!!

I'm so impressed that you keep coming up with stuff! You've done these "quirky, random, tell me something weird about you" so many times!
I don't know if I could do it. haha. And they are interesting!

Don't worry, I felt the need for a hiatus from Blogging too. Aside from my 12 days of Christmas Posts I haven't hardly even read anyone else's blog... I may be a bad person but I'll be back in Black come the new year.

I hear you on the gag reflex! I had to tell my dentist when I got a new one...it was embarassing!!

I know a ton of people that hate calling (so why do we still have to do it? Bless Adobe's online-support...no talking at all).

I make my home and visiting teachers text me if they want to come over (o:
