Swimming Lessons

Swimming lessons started on Monday for Zachary and Hannah. Zach's teacher is Karl and Hannah's teacher is Neal. It is at a private pool and there are only 6-8 kids in each class. We have been going to this swim school for about 4 years now and they do an amazing job. Hannah is a complete daredevil! She jumps in and swims her little heart out. Yesterday she floated on her back across the pool by herself. I was a proud mom! Zachary has a little fear. He is terrified to go past the 5 foot mark on the pool. I feel bad because it's like he's having a panic attack. On Tuesday he had to jump in the pool between the 5 foot and 8 foot mark. His teacher held out his hand for the kids to jump on and then he would help them swim over to the other side. Zachary jumped RIGHT on Karl's head! I know that he was scared but on his head!?!? Yesterday Karl let him jump in right at the 5 foot mark and he did a lot better. I told him that today he needed to be brave and jump in where all the other kids do. We will see if it happens--I'll keep you posted!
The kids favorite thing is playtime--of course! They both love to do Cannonballs. Check out the pictures--the first one is of Zach, Cameron and Joshua all doing a cannonball at the same time. The second one is of Hannah. I love that I caught them in mid-air!
