Chocolate, Candy And Taffy--OH MY!!

Here is the information on the candy factory. It is Sweet's Candy Factory. They are located at 3780 West Directors Row (1100 South). They have FREE tours Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 4:00pm. You have to make an appointment by calling (801)866-1444. The tour lasts about 40 minutes to an hour. When you get there and sign in there is FREE candy at the front desk. Then there is a little cart in front of the store and it is full of FREE candy (and there is NO limit to what you can have--they just keep filling it up). You get samples of fresh made candy throughout the tour (we received jelly beans, peanut clusters, orange sticks and taffy). When the tour is over--each person receives a FREE small bag of Salt Water Taffy. Then you can shop in their candy store. SHOP IN THE STORE because #1) the candy is fresh. #2) the prices are AMAZING!! I bought 2 lbs. of Cherry Sours (Matt's favorite), 2 bags of Chocolate Covered Cinnamon Bears (OH YEAH THEY ARE FREAKING DELISH), & 1 bag of Smarties like candies and for all of that--it cost me $5.00. My kids would LOVE to go again so if anyone is interested--e-mail me and we can all go together!!

That is fantastic! Curse having to work a day job. I think I might quit just so I can take a candy tour.

We would love to go there with you!I've been trying to come up with some inexpensive activites to do with the kids and this would be perfect. The fact that free candy is involved is an added bonus.

Actually, you had me at "chocolate covered cinnamon bears")

That sounds amazing!! 5 bucks for ALL of that? That is even more amazing! It costs me like 15 to get like a pound of sugar free red chews at the mall's candy store!!

What is not to love about candy? The fact that it is free makes it that much better.

Do they ship nationwide too? :)

What a great field trip! I saw that shop every day for nearly 6 years driving into my work, but I've never been. You peeked my curiosity!
