And Now A Message From Our Sponsor

I am only getting a select amount of computer time around here now days. My hubby has recently discovered Facebook and, well, he is addicted. My son also has a blog (which he only posts pictures of video games and sports on) and he is addicted. He is also addicted to Nick.com. My girls also want their time for Nick Jr. and Playhouse Disney. WHAT?! What happened to ME being the only one addicted to the computer? Oh yeah--on top of all that--our Internet was out for 12 hours yesterday. Imagine what that was like around here. So please forgive me if I haven't commented on your posts. Hubby goes on shift tomorrow for 5 days so I will have more time to read and comment. I haven't disappeared again--I am just waiting, patiently (NOT) for my turn on the computer!!

That's exactly why I got a laptop (well and for my school work) but mostly to not have to share.

I can't wait until we can get 2 computers! I'm in the same boat, except my husband is addicted to political blogs and my kids all want PBS kids!

Oh girl, you have GOT to sharpen those elbows and start weilding them as the weapons they were created to be! Sharing the computer. *huff* I don't think so! ;o

Sounds like someone should get a new computer for Mother's day.

I just tell my kids that I have work I need to do and they need to leave the computer.

Hey, it's MY computer.

12 hours without internet?
My worst nightmare.

I'll share anything else I have but not my computer.

I don't know what I would do if I had to share my computer. Sounds like you may need to invest in multiple laptops and a wireless connection. (Assuming you could keep it from 'being down'. Darn internet)

Yay for a husband who owns a computer store :) Juli bought an older laptop several months ago and decided it was too slow for what she wanted to do. So I'm buying it from her. It's great! And also I can harass her whenever she's on FaceBook. Which is also something I have to limit myself on. It just sucks you in!!!!! I won't be a slave to the internet. I won't! I won't!

I have computer control rights at my house. It's like Billy and the remote. I get the computer whenever I want. (Billy can only play cards and type talks on the computer... that's why I still have the control)

My hubby and I both have a laptop and the kids share TWO computers between the 5 of them... You would think that would solve all our problems....

NOT.

There are still fights about who gets to what when...

PATHETIC!

Even more pathetic is that we IM each other from one room to another, instead of getting up to go talk to that person.

Yeah -- bad. I know.

You need another computer (or two)...its no fun sharing when more than one person has a computer addiction, lol.

Oh yeah! it's time for momma to get her own computer.

I don't think I could survive with only one in our house.

Happy Friday.

When the kids were younger we had two computers, one wasn't enough with trying to homeschool and 5 kids. We had one while I was college a few years ago, and now we are back to two. Rather amusing, in the evenings as Bald Man sits at one, and I at the other. The laptop is MINE, bought for me!

My siste just got a computer for Christmas...but get this....NO INTERNET. It's like, what is the point????
I love my new computer- it has issues, but it is good enoough to keep me happy and busy- and same with my 3 kids. We set a timer and rotate every 20 minutes, and they have to read at least 10 pages in an approved book before they can get on for the day. it works well for us.
