This Food Is MMMMMM Good

I took Matt out for dinner last night. A good friend of ours suggested Pat's BBQ so that is where we decided to go. When I realized where it was (address wise) I was a little confused. It is in an industrial area and not the best part of town. We went inside and it reminded me of a well decorated warehouse but the smell that entered the nostrils was beautiful!! I was instantly hungry. For those of you that know me, you know that Ribs and Beef are NOT my thing--AT ALL!! But I decided to venture out and ordered the Beef Brisket and the Pulled Pork. The pork was really good but the Brisket----IT WAS FREAKING AMAZING, MELT IN YOUR MOUTH YUMMINESS!! And the BBQ sauces--DELISH!! One was sweet and the other was spicy. I couldn't get enough of the sauce. I recommend this restaurant to EVERYONE!! They are actually going to be featured on Diners, Drive-In's and Dives on the Food Network January 19th at 8:00 p.m. so check it out.

Here are some pictures off their website. You know how when you get your food it never looks like the picture? Not here--it looks JUST like the picture. The ribs are HUGE and the portions are ginormous!! So the moral of the story is--go eat at Pat's. I know I will be a return customer!!

Oh my. My stomach is growling looking at the pictures.

Is it in SL Valley? I hate living so far away from everything.

umm, yeah, my mouth is watering now. That pulled pork looks amazing, there are actual CHUNKS of meat in there! ( not just a mush-pile of pork leftovers).

My hubby's b-day is coming up- we may have to try this since meat accounts for all of the food groups in his world :)

Great. Now I'm totally hungry. ANd I clearly live too far to get this stuff. Thanks for sharing, though.

Larry and I recently went to a bbq place nearby, and I'm not a big barbeque girl either, but I was starved. I ordered their southern take on a philly cheesesteak. WOW. It was amazing. I think when you're really hungry well cooked meant just must hit the spot.

Thanks again for pinning my mug in the corner. It's a little startling!

Erin-
It is in Salt Lake but if you plan a trip down here ever I will take you there.

Kristina-
It is a TOTAL must try!!

Tink-
I laughed when I read your comment because I would have done the same thing!!

Lisa-
Not only are there real chunks of meat but in the side dishes--like the baked beans for instance--there are huge chunks of the meat in them too!!

Mina-
Your mug is beautiful!!

The Diners, Drive-In's and Dives episode is actually a re-run. I've seen it before and couldn't believe it was a featuring a place in Utah that I'd never even heard of! Everyone raves about this place. I've GOT to go there.

PS - thanks for the kind words you left on my blog. I appreciate the support from my blog friends :0)

I don't think there are many things in life that are better than great food finds. Seriously. And great BBQ to boot? Just pure heaven on a plate. Sounds like a fun night out.

I have to admit that I am not a fan of Guy Fieri, but adore the Food Network. I'll definitely be tuning in on Jan 19 to check this place out a bit more. Thanks for the tip!
