Saturday Is A Special Day........

Saturday turned out to be such a great day for me. A day that I have needed for a while. A day where I was refreshed and reminded how much my Father in Heaven loves me. It started out with our Stake Women's Conference. I was really temped not to go but since I am in the Relief Society Presidency in my ward I felt like I should go. We had some keynote speakers and then some fun workshops. I learned how to cook healthier, how to decorate a cupcake really cute and some fun and in-expensive activities to do with my family. It really was a nice 4 hours (minus the poor lady that had a small stroke during the keynote speakers. Good thing we had medically trained women there.)

Next came the opportunity to go to the Temple and do a Sealing Session. We have never done that before. We went with my husbands oldest sister Kim, her husband Kevin, Kevin's cousin and his wife and my father-in-law. We did Matt's mothers family. They are all of Dutch descent. Our sealer was Brother Vai Kinikini. I have know him since I was 19 years old. I hadn't seen him in about 15 years and when he walked in the room it was so amazing. After the session we embraced and both shed tears. He hugged me several more times. He told everyone that I was family. It was a beautiful reunion. My heart was and is still so full. He has a beautiful testimony and he shared some beautiful things with us. The peace and comfort that I felt was overwhelming. I KNOW that I am loved. I KNOW that He has a plan for me. I KNOW that families can be together forever. I KNOW that no matter what we are going through--He is always there.

I've only done sealings once in my life, during the first year we were married. And I passed out. Haven't been back since!

My husband is really into genealogy so we have done the sealing sessions a lot, and I really love them. They are such great reminders of eternal families like you said.

And how wonderful that you could see your friend!

I'm so happy that you had such an uplifting and spiritual day. We all need those.

It's so amazing the way the Lord works. You did that right when you needed it.

I really want to do sealings. Get it scheduled so we can go. NOW!

Oh, I love it when that well gets filled and our spirits are ready to tackle whatever can come our way! I am so glad you got a day like that. Sounds great!

I passed out too! It was in the St. George temple and it was hot, and all that kneeling, and I hadn't eaten all day, and had run a couple miles before we went, and just not a good mixture. But I still really enjoyed it.

Girl scouts cookies are so dangerous in the Pond...they tend to get snarfed before the Cookie Stealing bunny can get to them!
