Don't You Hate It When....

*You go to make dinner and all of the pre-shredded cheese has been used up due to your 3 year old's obsession with "dang quesidillas"--so--you have to hand grate the cheese yourself.

*You have about 20 loads of laundry looking you in the face.

*Your whole entire day was consumed with cleaning your bedroom because it was such a pig sty (and it's still not done--apparently it is a 2 day job).

*You have to take all of your baby clothes to the Salvation Army and the D.I. (this was very emotional for me).

*The kids are begging for dinner but you forgot to do anything about it because you were in super cleaning mode--so--you send your hubby to Little Caesars which is NOT your favorite.

*You have NO chocolate in the house WHATSOEVER!!

Awww, I hear ya! I'm giving all my baby clothes to my brother and his wife for their upcoming baby. It makes me a little sad!

PS, Laundry! When will it ever end?

Erin said...

There is no chocolate in my house either! And I really don't like Little Caesars. We had cereal for dinner (I'm not kidding).

I'm sorry you had to take the baby clothes to the D.I. A moment of silence for you...

(P.S. If I lived nearby I would go to Wal-Mart and buy a bag of M&M's or something for you)

It sounds like you were at my house today!

I totally understand the quesadilla obsession.

What a day! I HATE cleaning my bedroom cuz it's the catch all for every other room in the house :( And you do deserve some chocolate!

You just inspired me to eat my own dinner.... And I have four billion dishes in the sink. So I do sympathize.... ugh! I hate chores.

Mary said...

That happened to me last week! Eric became obsessed with quesadillas so he eat all the tortillas...so I made him go to the store with me ;o)

I hope tomorrow is a brighter, more beautiful day!!

I remember going on a chocolate hunt and there was none. I got so angry.

I'm sorry about the baby clothes! But at least you have more room now, right?

Oh, I remember the day I took my baby clothes to Kid to Kid. It was a very bittersweet day. I feel your pain.

Oh WOW! We are on the same page...I have been cleaning my room for two days now...we can finally walk without tripping over junk.

And as for laundry, I have been working on that just as long as cleaning my room, and I think my last load goes in the dryer in a few minutes! YAY!

Denise @ Sunflowers, Chocolate and Little Boys said...

Oh, I am with you! I had a stressful day and no chocolate either.
Hope tomorrow is better!

Melissa said...

Oh the chocolate. I'm not a very nice person without chocolate.

I am currently starring at 20+ loads of laundry and my washing machine is sitting in my living room while we finish the laundry room.

My dear sweet husband learned a long time ago that Chocolate must be kept on hand at all times or he would be responsible for fetching me some. He now carries some in his truck so we ALWAYS have chocolate!

NO CHOCOLATE!!!!????????????????

Dawn Parsons Smith said...

I had that happen to me last night!!! (I love Napolean Dynamite by the way!)

You only have 20 loads? ooohhh...I thought that 40 was normal...my room is a triple dog pigsty...yuck....

I TOTALLY get the whole "super cleaning" mode! My kids would probably starve if they weren't so demanding! LOL!

Me (aka Danielle) said...

No CHOCOLATE? That is a tragedy!

We have the same cheese/quesadilla problem at my house too!

No chocolate? You poor thing! Way to go on the cleaning though! I wish I could get into super-cleaning mode.

I am sorry about the baby clothes. HUGS! Also sorry that your 3 yr old ate all the grated cheese. I am very happy for you that your room is getting clean, you will feel so great when it is done! Go get yourself some chocolate woman, what is this, the 1800's??

I need to clean my room. I bet it takes a week

Hang in there

I am actually a fan of grating my own cheese...my daughter is SUPER good at it so she helps!

But I do hate it when there is NO CHOCOLATE!

Brittany Marie said...

Ah, those dang quesadillas! They will get you every time. Next time try some Tina-appproved casserole.

I had M&M's earlier in the week. The kids found them.

I have more laundry than you, I think. If I could see the bottom of the pile I would know better.

Have a great day!!

Brooke said...

Even though it would've helped, there is no amount of chocolate that can take away the heavy load of getting rid of the baby clothes. I'm so sorry. Good for you for cleaning. I HATE laundry. It is the bain of my existence.

Christa said...

Yes, I hate it when every single one of those things happen.

A few months ago, Tyler discovered that he could put cheese in a tortilla and then put it in the microwave. Thereby creating a delicious treat. He showed it to me and said, "Hey look what I made. I call it a cheesetilla." I said, "that's nice, but there's already a name for those. Remember the dang quesadillas from Napoleon Dynamite? Well, that's what you have there." He was kind of disappointed that he hadn't invented it.

I hope your hubby picked up some chocolate...sounds like you need some FAST!

Run, don't walk to the nearest store and pick up some chocolate! It can fix just about anything.

On the way back from Little Caesars, I hope he picked up some chocolate too!

No chocolate in the house can seriously send me over the edge. I have been known to break into the white chocolate chips that are used for baking when I am really desperate for a fix!

I can totally relate to some of these.

No chocolate in the house :0(

Baby stuff in the process of being given away. The crib is going. I'm having a hard time with this.

I've given up on the laundry. I've found that if you close the door to the laundry room, the dirty clothes don't taunt you as much.

Last night I decided to make homemade pizza. It took so long to make it that I wished we had just gone to Little Caesars.
I like Little Caesars because it means I don't need to cook. And we use paper plates so there's fewer dishes to wash.

We should go out for chocolate.

Jill-
We SHOULD go out for chocolate!!

Goob said...

I find myself without any chocolate at all far too frequently. What need we do to fix this?

Jillene said...

Lisa-
Maybe we could split a truckload--that sounds like a GREAT idea!!

rychelle said...

Get yourself some chocolate, ASAP!!!!!!

Don't give up those clothes yet :( :( *tears* baby clothes are so cute!

I am just impressed that you had a block of cheese to grate! I would be in trouble!

I am on my knees saying "I'm not worhty" about the house cleaning. My house = ugly mess right now, and I kind of don't care.

I'm sorry about your DI trip... I bet that was hard.

I'm also sorry about the cheese, but I think hearing O say, "I want a dang quesadilla" makes up for it :)

No chocolate! *gasps* That is not allowed ever, it is a needed staple!!
I gotta say I love real grated cheese, but I do use the food processor so it is cheating. Wow 20 loads...want to buy a new wardrobe for the fam? Sounds easier!!

Keyona said...

Goodness, that's funny because Lael is OBSESSED with Quesadillas as well. She would eat them everyday if I let her.

I hate cleaning my room. It seems that it will never look clean and when you're almost done you have to stop and do something else you leave it for the next day and it starts all over. I have been giving Jayson's clothes away too first to my cousin she had a baby in August then in Christmas each department had a needy family our needy family had a new born so I gave her the 3-6 months clothes to them (some with tags)it was a good feeling of helping someone else.

My kids love quesadillas too and it makes me crazy when I go to get cheese and its completely gone!
Maybe I need to start buying cheese in bulk! I guess in your case while you are at the store picking up some cheese pick up some chocolate for yourself too:)

Holly said...

If only you could reverse the ratio of laundry to chocolate. Just imagine 20 baskets of chocolate and no laundry.....yep, now your smiling!

Elisa said...

Don't ya hate it when its 3am and your STILL awake. Because the laundry is still staring at you?

Yeah. Me too!
