Anyway--this was a very busy weekend for our family. We had our ward Trunk or Treat on Friday which turned out great and the kids had a blast. On Saturday we had Olivia's birthday party at 1:00. But it was my birthday on Saturday so Matt took me shopping in the morning and bought me a new flat iron (not a CHI like I wanted because I REALLY needed new clothes), 2 pairs of pants, 3 shirts and a new bra. Now can I just say that this bra is AMAZING?! My girls were up where they haven't been in years!! Thanks for all of the awesome gifts Matt!!
Olivia was SO excited for her party. She couldn't wait for everyone to get there. She had told everyone prior to her birthday that she wanted a Barbie and the Diamond Castle with white hair. Imagine her surprise when she opened up my parents present and there it was. She was THRILLED. She also got a big Tinker Bell doll, 2 other Barbies, a stuffed dog that you can dress, a handmade blanket, a new coat, Sleeping Beauty DVD (or as she calls it Sleeping Booty), a TON of new clothes and a new pair of black boots.
Notice the doughnut with the candles in it. She didn't want a cake or cupcakes (what the?) and so she chose doughnuts. I got them from Reams on 4700 S. They have the BEST bakery. The day was great and as it turns out we were both spoiled!! Happy Birthday to us!!
*Do you like how she WOULD NOT look at me in any of the pictures? What a punk!!*

I love that you called her a punk...totally something I would do!
So what brand is the bra? Do tell!
Happy Birthday!!
It's okay.. I bloggered out from this weekend. All I did was catch up on blogs and now I have like, 10 to read and comment on from last night and I just am not in the mood...
I would cry without Internet access. Because that would mean I would have 243 blogs to read this morning.
Love the donuts. Reams is awesome.
Great pics. What a great time! I can feel all the positive energy way out here in GA.
Happy B-day girls!!!
I heard about the bra from several different people and since my girls are on the large size I was willing to go anywhere and try anything for comfort and fit. I found the bra at Layne Bryant. It is called a Cacique Balconette. They come in sizes starting at a 36C and go all the way to a 44H. It was $34.00 but right now they are buy 1 get one 50% off. They have several different styles but let me just say that THIS IS THE BEST BRA I HAVE EVER HAD!!
Oh yeah--they also have a website:
www.cacique.com if you are interested.
Happy Birthday!
Why don't you treat Qwest to a healthy serving of $&# kickin' for your birthday! It will make you feel better!
You might need to pay a little extra attention to that birthday girl of yours...not wanting cake is something you may want to consider an intervention for. Catch it while she's young!
The "narc" ended up being my brother-in-law...he's the punk:)
Happy birthday, and go REAMS!!!
So which girls are spoiled? The ones on your chest the ones from your womb????
Anyway, your daughter is so so cute! I am so glad you had a great Birthday!
No internet? That is a sad thing indeed! I'm glad you had a happy Birthday though... The dougnuts look mouth wateringly good.
Ramona-
I think both!! hahahaha!!
I love the donut birthday! It's been forever since I've thought of Reams. It's like a flashback! AHHH!!
You are one awesome mom to put on a child's birthday on your birthday. I would have been to selfish and wanted to do something for me!
Alyson-
I kind of didn't have a choice. He birthay is the 20th--which was Monday--my hubby was on shift the Saturday and Sunday before and then on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. His shifts are from 8am to 8pm so it put a damper on things. He took me to Red Lobster on Thursday since I love seafood and he hates it and then we had our Trunk or Treat Friday night so Saturday the 25th was my only option. The things we do for our kids!! (0;
I was kind of wondering slash sad....
Happy Birthday!!
I'm so happy for you and your girls.
Oh and happy birthday!!!!!!!!!!
Busy birthday weekend. Glad to hear you had a good one. Your daughter is so adorable!
Where can I find a kid who doesn't want a cake or cupcakes that I have to stress over making and perfecting? She's so cute - punk and all.
The Lane Bryant brand starts at 36 C? Huh. What brand starts at barely there A? Cause that's the store that I would need to visit.
I read that in space, the "girls" are always perky because there is no gravity. Sounds like fun, huh?
Oh, and happy birthday!
happy happy birhtday... so glad that all of your girls are happy!! ha ha..
Erin-
Sorry but I wouldn't know what brand carries a barely there A. I have had to wear a bra since 3rd grade and I peaked in 8th grade at a whopping DD. Good times!
love it! love this time of year!!!
and glad you are back online!
Happy Birthday!
And DOWN WITH QWEST!
Happy Birthday!Cute little girl!!
well, happy birthday to you both! glad you got some new duds and it looks like your little one made out really good!
ROFL! How funny, she is adorable BTW! My kids do that (the no look thing) but not he 13 yr old he does a pose no matter what!
Oh mom...I am stacking wood...Mom has a camera?? DROP THE WOOD and POSE!
Stirring soup? DROP the SPOON and POSE!
Outside playing? DROP the Frisbee and POSE!
That kid can sense a camera blindfolded with both hands tied behind his back!
I feel vindicated now b/c you called her a punk...something I tend to do also. Punk or Sucka! It makes the kids in my sunday school class crack up.
Oh she is CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy birthday, both of you! And dang... I need some new bras. lol
And YES - The Cacique bras are AMAZING!
Okay, I gotta get me one of those bras!!!
Sounds like you two had fun birthdays. She is such a cute girl!
Where'd you get the bra...I need one that works...hate underwires though!Urrghh! LOL!
I love Barbie...errr....loved. Of course I have NEVER taken my old ones out and played dress up...yeah.
I'm glad she had a good birthday. It's ok to spoil yourself and her for your birthdays!!
Wendyburd-
Check out the 5th comment down from me--it contains all of the details.
doughnuts? that's my kind of girl!!
and that bra is my fave too!
Jillene-
this isn't about birthdays or boobs, but it is about Stake Training meetings.
I had one on Sunday, and I came home so overwhelmed and depressed! It seems like every other ward is doing things perfectly and we have so far to go, and those meetings are so long! Am I just evil for hating them?
sorry I needed to vent.....
Ramona-
You are NOT evil!! Mine is tonight at the Magna Bishop's Storehouse. I get to drive--yeah me!! I had to beg my mom to come out and babysit since my hubby doesn't get off work until 8:00pm and he rides his bike so that puts him home around 8:30-9:00pm. I don't know how long mine will be but my Stake Pres. is pretty awesome and he wants meetings kept to 1 hour and so far they have been pretty good about it.
You can vent ANYTIME you want!! You can e-mail me and I would even give you my phone # i you wanted it.
I think you are being too hard on yourself. I am sure that you are doing an AMAZING job and that your Primary is right on track. Don't let the meeting get you down. Do what works for you, your counselors and your Primary kids!!
Love it when the girls are happy and perky. Looks like a great party!!! You rock mom!
Happy Birthday to you as well.
smart girl! i love donuts way more than cake too. she is after my heart....
i guess i should be happy for my teeny tiny boobs? i can get my bra in the little kid section.
yep.
training bras are all i need at age 32. it's just plain sad.
my older sister refuses to even wear a bra...but i don't want to be sagging to my knees by 40, so i persevere.
sometimes i do just put on a tight tank top instead though. a lot of the sporty tanks come with built in bras. those are great. all i need.
The shopping sounds wonderful, Gotta love a bra that actually is comfortable.
I would be going crazy without internet. Hoping things are fixed for good.
Happy Birthday to both of you! I am sorry I have been not too present lately, hopefully the craziness is calming down here so I can get some blogging done!
