Enrichment Night

We had our first Enrichment Night of the year last night. We had a Bag Ladies Supper and D.I. Fashion Show. I am really not into wearing someone elses clothing that they have given to a thrift store but since I am the 2nd Counselor in the Relief Society Presidency I figured that I needed to participate. I went to D.I. and found a really UGLY prom dress that is black and silver. I bought a black clutch purse and borrowed a crown from my daughter Hannah. I was the overweight and not so cute Prom Queen that won with the sympathy vote. Turned out it was pretty funny. The dinner was yummy and we had a really good turn out. I am so thankful for the support of the sisters in my ward. We have an amazing ward family and I feel so blessed to be a part of it! I am especially thankful for the good friends that I have in the ward!

Although skits and fashion shows aren't really my thing, I have to admit that last night turned out pretty ok. I'm not saying that we need to have more skits in the future, we wouldn't want them to lose their luster, I just didn't mind last night all that much. Is it just me, or was what Bev wearing just about a million times more flattering than what she usually wears? I mean in terms of shape, cut and fit. It really made her look like she had lost weight and then she put back on her regualar stuff and gained it all back.

One other thing, I forgot to say thanks for being a great friend. I never really had girl friends until I was an adult. I'm glad that I've grown up enough to realize that girls are ok.
